One of the objectives of the field school is to encourage a model and precedent for a culturally - competent  curriculum in which the "researched" have a direct control over & contribution to the design, content & method of what is taught. Village residents have contributed to the curriculum deisgn, and will act as both 'culture experts' and evaluators, including making a contribution to the student's final grade.
