A-Paenga fragment, isolated. This is not clearly associated with a hare paenga structure. The paenga is located 33cm south from point “D.” The paenga measures 21cm long, 26cm wide, and about 7cm thick. B- Adze, basalt (Toki). This artifact measures 10cm long, 8cm wide, and 4.5cm thick. It is located 1.70m south from “D.” The adze is complete, with beveled (cutting) edge and base. Use-wear is evident on the beveled edge. C-Paenga fragment. There is no clear association with any structure. The paenga measures 27cm long, 19cm wide, and 6cm thick. D-Disarticulated paenga (curved end stone), L-shaped. This stone was likely an end-stone for a hare paenga. It measures 50 cm wide by 50 cm long. The stone has a rounded top surface with two cupped depressions. It is located 10.15m west of a disturbed hare paenga (F10). |
