F38 Cave   (click on photo for alternate view)
Cave. This cave is situated in a natural hollow. The mouth of the cave is oriented 260 degrees. The entrance is about 3m wide at its base and 1.5m high at the center of the entrance.  There is a large paenga stone in the mouth of the cave. The inside of the cave measures about 10-12 m across its largest extent. It is 8m deep on the south side, and 5-6m deep on the north side. The cave’s ceiling height averages about 1m. The surface above the cave mouth is marked by large and numerous flakes of obsidian forming a scatter (F37).
