| Rock mulch, consisting of rough basalt cobbles, 5cm to 30cm diameter. Spread extensively over 15 by 30 meter area. Evidence of local agricultural cultigens (taro) in and around mulch area. Archaeological evidence suggests rock mulch features were used to concentrate water and retard evaporation. | ||
