Hawai`i Junior Archaeology Outreach Program

The Hawai`i Junior Archaeology Outreach Program was created by students from the Department of Anthropology of the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa and the Society for Hawaiian Archaeology Student Committee (SHASC). The program provides the opportunity for undergraduate and graduate level students to participate in outreach and interact with local keiki in the community.

The program consists of presentations and hands-on archaeology activities educating children of all ages about Hawaiian Archaeology. Presentations take place once or twice a month at local schools around the island. No experience is required; the only requirement is that you work with well children.
