Online Term (14 weeks): September 10 to December 15, 2012

Anth 151 Emerging Humanity
Anth 152 Culture and Humanity
Anth 316 Anthropology of Tourism
Anth 350 Pacific Island Cultures
Anth 415 Ecological Anthropology
Anth 483 Japanese Culture and Behavior
We will entertain proposals for additional courses, to be reviewed according to existing criteria and departmental needs. Face-to-face term (10 weeks) will run from September 10 to November 17, 2012.
You have the option of teaching a course (except 151 and 152) with a focus designation. More information on focus requirements can be found at http://www.hawaii.edu/gened/focus.htm.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA degree in anthropology or relevant social sciences discipline
- Demonstrated experience in an appropriate area of anthropology
Desirable Qualifications:
- PhD candidate or PhD degree in Anthropology
- Demonstrated competence as a teacher with positive student responses
- Current or recent anthropological field research in Hawai'i, the Pacific, or Asia
- For online courses: Availability at some time during the course for face-to-face meetings with students who request appointments
Minimum salary: $1295 per credit hour or you may have an option of being paid on a per student basis if enrollment is low.
