Looking Back, Projecting Forward
75th Anniversary Commemorative Events

In Fall 2009, the University of Hawai’i Department of Anthropology celebrated its 75th anniversary. We hosted a full slate of activities with the theme, “UHAnth75: Looking Back, Projecting Forward.”

Events included special Colloquia throughout the Fall Semester and a special Day-Long Symposium and Evening Banquet on Saturday, October 24, held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Society for Hawaiian Archaeology:

• The 2009 Fall Colloquium series presented panel discussions focusing on the past, present and future contributions of the Manoa Anthropology program to several subfields of anthropology. FREE.
